Altitude Sports Tours, founded by directors John Greenwood and Hazel Liebscher, was born from their determination to provide something better for school groups after years of disappointing experiences. With a passion for skiing and delivering exceptional travel opportunities, John and Hazel set out to create a service that prioritizes value for money, seamless communication, and personal attention every step of the way. 

Their goal was simple: to ensure that schools receive not just a trip, but a memorable, stress-free adventure. Our Team

Director John brings unmatched enthusiasm, 30 years of experience, and a deep passion for snowsports. With a background as a children’s ski coach and instructor, he’s explored every corner of Europe. John has organized school trips to Norway and even manages a dry ski slope in England. His love for skiing is all-consuming, and he’s dedicated to giving as many people as possible the chance to experience the thrill of this incredible sport.

Hazel’s love for snowsports began in her youth when her mother introduced her to skiing. She became an active member of her university’s ski club, where she met her husband, a passionate skier and ski race coach who also works closely with John. Hazel regularly travels to Europe with ski racing teams, and she’s the driving force behind organizing every trip from start to finish, traveling with the group to ensure everything runs seamlessly. After joining her husband’s school on their annual ski trip and being disappointed by the lack of quality and service, Hazel knew she could offer something better. And so, Altitude Sports Tours was born.

With a commitment to treating each group as our sole focus, we’re devoted to creating unforgettable experiences.
